When I had an opportunity to listen to Luang Phaw Dattajivo Bhikkhu’s teaching that a person who had no five basic precepts in a practice is valueless. I felt remorse since at that time I had violated all 5 precepts. This made me realise that I needed to stop being wicked. I, then, stopped all the bad habits and started to have precepts. But the hardest was the abandonment of alcohol but i could do it during the time of three-month buddhist lent.
